Style is born or made? In cases such as the actor Enrique Sapene, you can say both. Unfolded in an environment in which to live with great designers is the same to have celebrity guests at home, it is no wonder that Enrique has a concept of style and a very modern way of dressing, fresh, original and classic. He likes to use classics and good elements from big brands. In an interview with him, he tells us about his childhood, his friendship with people from the fashion industry, his new projects and why New York is such an energetic city.
-What does fashion represent in your life and work?
No one can change a first impression. In my industry (Entertainment)you must keep up with fashion. It seems to me that everyone creates their own style and must be consistent with what is fashionable. There are hip things that combined with classic fashion usually work ver well. The most chic people I know knows how to combine both elements and look always incredible.
-Being your father's friend Carolina Herrera, how was your childhood growing up with people like her?
My mother always loved fashion and for several years had a design house in Venezuela called "La Casita Rosada “ with clothes designed for children. But not what is usually available, these were designs for children. My father is an architect and interior designer, so I was always with creative people around, including my aunt Mayela Camacho, Angel Sanchez, Mauro Duran, Margarita Zingg, etc.
-If your mother was a designer, In which way it influenced your style or the way of thinking about fashion?
My paternal grandparents were french and had an incredible style. My parents lived inEurope like me, and at a very young age I was familiarized with good things. When I say good things I speak of classical pieces, like a Hermes tie or Gucci loafers. I think someone with class must know how to handle any situation and that involves how to dress. My parents always taught me how to always be dressed for any occasion.

-Any anecdote you remember?
Many as a child but I always remember when my mom went out for parties in Venezuela in big dresses. Women use to dress flawless for the holidays or at least used to long time ago, I do not live in Venezuela any more. It used to be that a woman never wore the same gown twice, I don´t know if things have changed.
- How do you express yourself with your style?
It varies, and depends how I feel at the moment. Is not the same if you're coming to the gym or if you're on your way to the MET. In particular, I am very classic but from time to time, I feel more adventure and do something to amaze my friends
-Define your style.
I like classic things, I'm happy with a long sleeve shirt from Brooks Brothers, nice jeans and loafers.

- What have you learned from living in cities like Paris and other big cities?
The style is completely different in the cities I've lived.Caracas , Paris , Los Angeles, New York and Miami are quite different. Of course, a greatly influence is the weather but I think that's when you have to wrap the creativity and create your own style. I think learning how to dress is something you learn at home, If you never learn from home, it´s very difficult to learn somewhere else.

I know your last character has an amazing style. Tell us about him and his style.
My character is named Ryan and it´s a playboy. He wears long sleeve shirts, belts and crocodile shoes from Hermes. I think these items tell you much about a person and what kind of character is. Ryan thinks that what you wear is your business card and I have to admit that I agree.

In terms of style I have to admit that I would put all that he wears but as far as his attitude we are SUPER different. He thinks he knows it all and I like to learn.
