El diseñador de Honduras Carlos Campos ha sido nombrado como finalista para el CFDA/VOGUE Fashion Fund, seleccionado de cientos de diseñadores, es hoy parte de los 10 finalistas, siendo así el primer diseñador de linea masculina latinoamericano en recibir dicho reconicimiento. Para quienes no estén bien enterados sobre lo que representa dicha nominación, se les otorga 300,000 dólares al ganador y 100,000 a los dos siguientes. Carlos Campos Named 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist

New York, NY. Menswear designer Carlos Campos is proud to announce that he has
been named a finalist for the esteemed CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. Selected from
hundreds of applicants as one of ten finalists for the award, Carlos has earned the
distinction of being the first Latin American menswear designer to have achieved this
honor in the eight-year history of the Fund’s existence.

Born in Honduras, Carlos grew up in design household, inspired by his father, a master
tailor. At 13, Carlos literally walked from Honduras to New York City to pursue his own
version of the “American Dream”.

In 2007, after a successful career as a design consultant and Broadway costume
designer, he launched his namesake brand. Carlos Campos, a modern American brand
with deep Latin roots, immediately earned the respect and accolades of the global
fashion community. The 2007 debut collection was named Best Menswear Collection at
Mexico City Fashion Week. In 2009, he was named The Fashion Group International’s
Rising Star for Menswear. His fashions have been worn by some of the biggest names in
entertainment such as Justin Timberlake, Enrique Iglesias, John Legend, Ethan Hawke,
and the Killers all of whom are fans of the brand.

Carlos Campos is available at better department and specialty stores around the world
and through his online shop at www.carloscampos.com. In 2009, he opened its first
stand-alone retail store in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where the designer is from, July 2011
will see the launch of the first Carlos Campos store in the United States on New York’s
fashionable Lower East Side. Says Campos:

launched my business and I’m truly honored and grateful to be included in this amazing
group of extremely talented designers”.

The CFDA/VOGUE Fashion Fund winners will be announced this November.
